Requirements / Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Director of Board and Executive Services, in conjunction with the administrator responsible for the allocation of Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) funds, the Coordinator of Campus and Community Engagement provides leadership and coordination of district events and activities. The Coordinator will develop policies and procedures for event coordination to ensure activities are meeting the District mission, vision and applicable policies, practices, and guidelines. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist appropriate constituent groups, departments, and divisions in the development, planning, and coordination of campus and community events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Bachelor's Degree; (*attach transcripts) AND 2. Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in an academic or business setting; AND 3. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff SUBSTITUTIONS Substitutions for meeting the professional experience requirement are allowed, as follows: 1. A Master's degree in Business or Organizational Leadership may be substituted for up to two (2) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in an academic or business setting DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, psychology, counseling (or related field) 2. Two (2) years of professional experience in a community college or post-secondary setting 3. Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or students in an equity-minded manner. Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming work/education environment.
