Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Work in self contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned.

Small, private NPS located in San Carlos, CA serving the needs of students with mild to moderate learning disabilities has an immediate openings for two Special Education teachers for blended classrooms, grades 2 -3 and 4 - 5. We provide multi-sensory teaching methods in a small classroom setting with support from a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Valid California teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments English as a Second Language Certification preferred Gifted and Talented Certification preferred Demonstrated competency in the subject area(s) assigned Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual knowledge of curriculum and instruction
