JOB DESCRIPTION:
Academic Coaches are an integral part of the learning environment at Elite Performance Preparatory Academy.  They are responsible for creating a positive learning environment where scholars develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Modeling and  nurturing an entrepreneurial community within the classroom and across programs.

Academic Coaches maintain a safe environment; establish rapport with scholars, parents and colleagues; motivate scholars to develop attitudes and knowledge that will help them reach their potential and be prepared for higher levels of education, career readiness and life beyond educational structures. Teachers differentiate curriculum and use effective research-based methods of instruction according to program initiatives and respective State Core Standards.  

This position offers 30 Hours per week, which includes professional development, lesson planning, team  collaboration in-person and online. The ideal candidate has experience on the educational setting but is open to an unconventional method of instructional delivery. They are flexible, adaptable and self motivated. They have a passion for learning and teaching others. They are creative, resourceful and ambitious.
