<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Join our amazing team!&nbsp;</strong><br />The San Diego County Office of Education is a&nbsp;collaborative&nbsp;organization <br />that&nbsp;works&nbsp;toward a future without boundaries for our students. <br />We are passionate about equity for students and employees, support innovative learning, <br />offer great <a href="https://www.sdcoe.net/work-sdcoe#fs-panel-26288">employee benefits</a>, and professional growth opportunities!&nbsp;</p> <hr /> <p>The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to fill two vacancies for <strong>Account Clerk II</strong> for the Retirement Reporting and the District Payroll Services units of the Business Services Division.</p> <p><span>Retirement Reporting is responsible for reporting monthly payroll information; processing forms for memberships, refunds, and retirements; and serving as the liaison for the California Public Employees&rsquo; Retirement System (CalPERS) and the California State Teachers&rsquo; Retirement System (CalSTRS) for all school districts, charter schools, and community college districts in San Diego County.</span></p> <p><span>District Payroll Services is responsible for providing payroll support and assistance to 48 school districts, community colleges, and charter schools operating within San Diego County and processes more than 650,000 warrants and more than 70,000 W-2s annually.</span></p> <p>Under general supervision, the Account Clerk II performs a variety of technical accounting-clerical tasks of average difficulty involved in maintaining, compiling, verifying financial, payroll, payment or statistical records, and auditing financial transactions for compliance with applicable codes, laws, and regulations.</p> <p>These positions are full-time and will offer the classified benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalPERS state retirement system.</p>

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to two years of classroom or college-level instruction in basic accounting, bookkeeping or closely related field and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
