Job Summary

Job Summary

The coach position requires the applicant to be qualified as per the job description to support Dual Language Programs (DLP). The applicant chosen will provide direct DLP instructional support and services to students at schools, organize paraprofessional support for DLP students and support teachers with instruction to meet the needs of DLP students. A Multiple Subject credential and Bilingual Authorization (BCLAD, BASP, or equivalent) are required for this position. Experience Requirement: Minimum of three years of teaching experience Qualifications: -Strong content-area knowledge and pedagogical skills. -Experience in curriculum development. -Experience in data assessment and evaluation. -Experience facilitating and leading district/school site committees. -Successful experience as a presenter/trainer/facilitator of adult and student learners at the district and site levels. -Demonstrates success in working with English Language Learners, Special Education, and low performing students, socio-economically disadvantaged, and Gifted and Talented students. -Demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills. -Successful teaching experience at the elementary and/or middle school levels.

SALARY PLACEMENT: Based on educational units and years of full-time teaching experience. Maximum placement is Class IV, Step 11 (with 10 years teaching experience). HEALTH BENEFITS: Based on selected plan/provider, full-time employees receive family medical coverage, employee life and vision, and employee or family dental coverage. Part-time employees receive benefits equal to the % worked. WORK CALENDAR: Calendar is 187 work days. All new employees are on a 11-month pay schedule. Returning employees are on a 12-month pay schedule.
