Job Summary

Tutor students in groups or individually, assisting them in all subject areas based on the class and text notes they have collected in their AVID binders. AVID tutors facilitate student learning in a challenging, yet supportive, tutoring environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicant must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education as per AVID program requirements. Students may attach transcripts to verify current student status or if in their first semester, students may attach documentation to verify enrollment in lieu of transcripts. Applicants must attach their most recent transcripts or enrollment verification to the application. When uploading the file, select "Copy of Transcript" as the document type from the list provided by ED-JOIN. If hired, you will be expected to provide proof of each new schedule to remain employed as an AVID tutor, a copy of transcripts, or enrollment verification.
