LACOE is seeking an individual experienced in payroll administration and systems with a proven track record of accurate application of payroll laws and regulations to apply for the Payroll Systems Coordinator position.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required Education and Experience Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent college units (60 semester/90 quarter) with major coursework in business or public administration or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Five years of experience in payroll or benefits administration, involving payroll laws and regulations and the utilization of automated business systems, including two years of supervisory experience. Supervisory experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Equivalency Provision: Current Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification may substitute for the associate’s degree or equivalent college units with major coursework in business or public administration or other fields closely related. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required for some positions in this classification. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
