We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Mental Health Services position to serve our campuses district wide. Under the direction of the Dean of Health Services, the director plans, organizes the mental health program for Mt. San Jacinto student population. The director will be responsible for the planning and delivery of services through a partnership of local healthcare providers and services. The director will represent Mt. San Jacinto College Health Center in the community on matters relating to assigned programs and participates in community planning activities and social resources development. This is an administrative position, exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to the area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, social work, clinical counseling (attach transcripts); OR 2. A Doctorate degree as a Clinical Psychologist (attach transcripts); AND 3. Licensed as an LMFT, LCSW or Clinical Psychologist for at least two (2) years and completed (or willing to complete prior to starting) a Certified Supervisor Program valid in the state of California and by the BBS and maintain certification through professional development opportunities (attach license); AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** DESIRED QUALIFICIATIONS 1. Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience 2. Experience working with and managing graduate level interns 3. Knowledge of development and management of budgets 4. Knowledge of substance abuse disorder and related issues 5. Ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels 6. Skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction
