Job Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Director is responsible for coordinating and facilitating comprehensive employee development programs for all certificated employees including recruitment, selection process, employee orientation, employee counseling, records management, labor contract support, and employee status transactions; provides district-wide leadership in crisis management, and professional development; communication with colleges and universities, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and district law, regulations, policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A. Possession of a valid California clear multiple or single subject teaching credential B. Possession and maintenance of a valid California administrative credential C. Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in administration or a closely related field. D. Possession of either a Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate, a Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate, a Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) or a Language Development Specialist (LDS) certificate. E. Experience in Human Resources F. Three or more years of successful teaching experience. G. Three or more years of successful experience in an administrative position, preferably including experience as a site principal. H. Possesses expert project management and consultative skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication and counseling skills. I. Bilingual ability desirable.
