Warehouse/Print Shop Supervisor at Lodi Unified
Requirements / Qualifications
BASIC FUNCTION: Plan, organize & coordinate the central warehouse, print shop & distribution services of the District; train, supervise & evaluate assigned staff.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF: Warehouse practices and procedures. Principles and practices of supervision and training. Large scale inventory management methods and procedures, including the inspection and distribution of materials, supplies and equipment. Procedures for property disposition and materials management, including laws and regulations related to the handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Print shop management practices, including the operation of offset presses and binding equipment. Laws, ordinances and other requirements governing warehouse, print shop and delivery functions for a public agency. Methods and practices used in receiving, storing, disbursing and delivering supplies and equipment. Modern office management principles and practices. Operation of a forklift and other assigned equipment. Basic accounting practices as applied to materials management. Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
ABILITY TO: Plan, organize and coordinate the central warehouse, print shop and distribution services of the District. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Establish effective store-keeping procedures. Train, supervise and evaluate personnel. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Operate a forklift and other warehouse machines and equipment. Plan routes for destination. Develop, administer and review procedures to maintain acceptable level of performance. Plan, organize and supervise the work of assigned personnel. Operate a computer terminal to enter data, maintain records and generate reports. Prioritize and schedule work. Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements and restrictions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in business administration, marketing or related experience & four years progressively responsible experience in a large scale warehouse/print shop.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: The following MUST BE ATTACHED to the application:
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree or Higher Education Degree
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATES: Possession of a valid California Driver's License. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment physical examination. Cost of the exam will be borne by the district. If selected for the position, out -of-district applicants must be T.B. tested and fingerprinted. A practical skills test may be administered at the time of interview.
