About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Unit: CSEA Hours/Work Year: 3.5 to 4 per day / 10 Months (Student Day Only) CSEA Salary Range 118: Step A $20.79, Step B $21.85, Step C$22.95, Step D $24.11, Step E $25.33, Step F $26.62 Promotional/Open: The promotional group as well as the public may apply. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school or equivalent; experience working with children in an educational or child care setting; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.

A written exam that meets the “Every Student Succeeds Act” (ESSA) requirements (weighted 40%) and an oral interview exam (weighted 60%) will be conducted. The written exam is expected to be held the week of September 4, 2023. A passing score must be achieved on all exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
