Job Summary
Natomas Unified School District is seeking a Coordinator III for the Communications and Family Engagement Department (CAFE). The CAFE Department is responsible for Communications, Family Engagement, College and Career Mentoring Community Providers, Community Partnerships, and Opportunities for Students with Student Voices and Youth Workforce. The mission is to positively elevate NUSD students through successful communications, diverse engagement, strong community partnerships, and access to enriching programs/resources that directly support the district’s vision and goals. Leaders should have strong skills in journalism or public relations to include experience in writing for various and diverse audiences, engaging and managing social media, marketing programs and initiatives to bring awareness and meet goals, project development and management skills to coordinate and execute special events and projects, organizational skills to help successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and multimedia experience preferred. *Effectively work with diverse families and create opportunities to educate them and engage them with Parent *University workshops and resources. *Make connections and foster strong relationships with families and community partners in support of our students. *Prepare and facilitate meetings with staff, families, and community partners. *Write compelling articles and posts for a robust communications system. *Speak confidently and serve as a media spokesperson when required. *Bilingual is preferable but not required. *Work independently and make sound judgment decisions and recommendations. *Work cohesively with a team and follow directions. *Execute projects and special events by deadline successfully and in coordination with other staff, departments, schools, and community as needed.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major in education, education administration, public administration or a related field that would be applicable to assigned department(s). Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in related field, preferably in a public education setting. Licenses and Certificates: *Valid California Driver’s License Required Documents:

- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (three (3) recent letters of recommendation)
