Home Instruction, Special Education, Moderate/Extensive Oakland Unified School District’s Home and Hospital Program is designed to help maintain a student’s continuity of education during a time of illness or other temporary disability. Both general education and special education programs are provided. The Home and Hospital Program supports the student’s academic needs until they are able to return to a school based program. Instruction may take place in the home, in an Oakland hospital, or in a public library, if/when appropriate. This job requires transportation, as home instruction is provided to students all throughout Oakland. Bilingual candidates encouraged. Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core curriculum. Additional requirements: Completed online application Resume and cover Letter Two current professional references, including from a Supervisor Upon request, must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or commitment to weekly testing
