General Description of Position Goals Under general supervision to perform a variety of clerical work involved in compiling, recording and reporting of attendance records and scheduling. B. Essential Job Duties: 1. Greet and assist parents and visitors in Front Office. 2. Perform a wide variety of clerical work related to attendance. 3. Perform student registration in order to provide efficient and courteous student and parent services. 4. Conduct transactions with school personnel or the public, in matter requiring a knowledge of rules, procedures and policies. 5. Maintain files and records on current District attendance record keeping and reporting. 6. Post information to records and fills in forms. 7. Document absences on absence log. 8. Sort, record and file documents and student doctor notes. 9. Maintain required records and files, as required by auditors. 10. Assist new teachers and other support staff with the procedures of daily attendance recordkeeping. 11. Compute and distribute weekly enrollment reports. 12. Travel as required pertaining to attendance in order to perform the service of home visits as needed. 13. Attend training, workshops, meetings, for the purpose of maintaining skills and ensuring compliance with district, local and state and federal requirements. C. Other Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Cover the front office in the absence of other clerical personnel or, as needed. 2. Attend additional training as required for the purpose of updating and maintaining skills and for gathering or conveying required information. 3. May assist with updating emergency contact information in the student database system. 4. Perform other related duties as assigned.
