Job Summary

Job Summary

Provide supervision to students who will be participating in the ELOP program, a district coordinated afterschool program. Required to work independently by supervising the students in a classroom/outside or small group environment. Wednesday Site Supervision responsibilities encompass student behavior support, staff support and parent communication.

Requirements / Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE OF: Child guidance principles and practices Safe practices in classroom and playground activities. Oral and written communication skills. Basic record-keeping techniques. Classroom procedures and appropriate student conduct. Basic computer skills. ABILITY TO: Actively supervise program participants in TK, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times Provide positive behavior guidance that supports the developmental, social-emotional and physical needs of all students Maintains order among the children in the classroom and on the school grounds. Supervises students as assigned in the classroom, playground, cafeteria or at various school-wide activities such as field trips and assemblies. Prioritizes tasks and exercises good time management and organizational skills. Prepares Instructional materials. Provide student behavior support, staff support and effectively communicate with parents. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING Enjoys working with children Patient and reliable Organizational and communication skills Energetic and positive personality Ability to meet the physical demands of the job PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Hearing and speaking to exchange information Seeing to monitor students Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate assigned equipment and demonstrate activities Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to assist students Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally
