Job Summary

This afterschool program support of Supervision/Activity Aide organizes and teaches a period of a specific activity, such as art, drama, crafts, music, etc. The Activity Aide follows instructions and leadership of the Lead and Instructional Aides (ISS), as well as District Administration. In addition, performs routine clerical tasks that include copying, sorting and distributing materials, as well as requires a basic understanding of the practices and principles of child guidance an understanding of standards of courtesy to be observed by children. Supervision Activity Aides may work as little as 1-hour per week, to additional afterschool hours and/or hours during the 30 intercession days (Saturdays, vacation holiday breaks, and/or summer school), depending on employee desire and program needs.
