Job Summary

Under general supervision of classroom teacher, the Teacher Assistant assists with the instruction, care and supervision of developmentally, communicatively, or physically disabled children and youth and incarcerated youth to enable them to participate in their environment as independently as possible. The Teacher Assistant performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties, physical assistance duties, specialized health care duties and does related work as required.
