About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. The Antioch Unified School District is a Merit System District. As such, final selection of our classified staff members will be made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate’s training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

STUDENT MONITOR (Yard Duty - Playground & Nutrition Services) SIX MONTH ELIGIBILITY LIST Unit: CSEA Vacancies: 23 Work Hours/Year: 1 to 3 Hours Daily / 10 Months (180 Days -Student Attendance Days) Hourly Range PPS: Step A $17.33 (Min.) to Step F $21.00 (Max.) Work Times: Cafeteria shifts: 1 to 2 hours/day, between 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Playground & Cafeteria shifts: 2 to 3 hours/day, between 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and outdoor environment, seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Dexterity of hands and fingers to perform cleaning duties, standing, and walking for extended time, seeing to monitor student activities, hearing, and speaking to exchange information. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
