Job Summary
Job Summary
Operates a satellite food service facility by receiving, heating and serving prepackaged and fresh foods, and performing cashiering, data entry, recordkeeping and reports, and clean up. Maintains an inventory of food and supplies, determines quantity of food required and makes the appropriate orders. Heats and serves food in accordance with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and other applicable food safety regulations.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and some computer and recordkeeping experience. Food services experience desirable. Licenses and Certificates May require a valid California Driver’s License. Valid California Food Safety Certificate must be obtained prior to completion of probation.

PURPOSE: To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill current and any future vacancies (part-time) for the duration of the list, up to one year. The immediate vacancy is a 10-month, part time position (4.25 hours a day) located at Atherwood Elementary School.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. one week prior to the exam date. Late applications and/or certificates will not be accepted.
TESTING PROCESS:
A) Multiple Choice Test= 40% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for as early as Tuesday, August 25, 2026
B) Structured Interview= 60% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for as early as the week of August 31, 2026
