Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, and the Elementary Principal, the Instructional Coach will assist in the implementation of the 21st Century teaching skills, curriculum development, and the integration of technology into the classroom by serving as an instructional coach. The role of the Instructional Coach is a support position designed to increase the capacity of teachers to use technology and to develop curriculum that effectively integrates the use of technology in the teaching and learning process, supports students’ college and career readiness by utilizing 21st Century learning skills, and perform other related duties as assigned. The primary focus of this position is to lead coding instruction for staff and students.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience: 1. Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience required. 2. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required. 3. Training/experience in the use of instructional technology in the classroom setting required. 4. Experience in a school or community leadership role which required public speaking and presentations, organization of tasks/projects, and involvement in curriculum planning. Licenses/Certificates/Special Requirements: 1. Valid California credential authorizing service as a teacher of elementary students with English Learner authorization or equivalent. Desirable Qualifications: 1. Single Subject authorization for Computer Sciences; or 2. Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Credential (CTE) for Information and Communication Technologies or Engineering and Architecture desirable. - Must have a valid California driver’s license and automobile available for use. Must be willing to attend evening, night, and weekend meetings and events.
