Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District is seeking a Middle School Counselor. This full-time position is 8 hours/day and accumulates one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD pays 100% for employee-only health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Dependent coverage is at a cost to the employee. LESD Building Brighter Futures – join us!
Requirements / Qualifications
- Copy of Transcript ( Masters degree in counseling or school social work with at least one year of supervised field experience as verified by an approved institution in school social work, counseling or school psychology)
- Credential Copy (Pupil Personnel Services Credential)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Reference (3 Letters with at least one from a Supervisor dated within the last 12 months)
- Resume

- Possession of a Valid Teaching Credential
- 3-5 years experience with counseling children and adults in individual and small group settings
- 1-3 years experience classroom teaching experience
- Knowledge and experience working with community agencies and resources
