YARD DUTY/NOON TIME SUPERVISION AIDE
DEFINITION
Supervises students during non-instructional time and is responsible for the safety/conduct of students during that time.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Playground and cafeteria supervision and assistance. Performs related work as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent to the completion of the
twelfth grade (GED).
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
General needs and behavior of children.
Ability to:
Understand and carry out oral and written directions in English;
Communicate in Spanish;
Supervise a group of children in various recreational activities;
Maintain a sympathetic understanding of the problems and
needs of children; and
Maintain cooperative relationships with people contacted during
the course of work.
SUPERVISION
Works under the supervision of Administrative Personnel.
