The County of San Mateo Human Services Agency is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of The Big Lift Executive Director. The Big Lift Executive Director will plan, direct, coordinate and implement The Big Lift; recommend, develop, implement and evaluate goals, objectives, policies and procedures related to programs; provide leadership and coordination to The Big Lift’s Leadership Team, Core Team, Advisory Committees, learning communities, grantees, school districts, community groups, public and private agencies, and volunteers in planning and implementing programs; provide highly complex staff support to senior level management within assigned area of specialization. The ideal candidate has knowledge and professional experience in early childhood education and/or early elementary education. **NOTE: This is a collective impact initiative where SMCOE is a key partner, but the employer is the County of San Mateo Human Services Agency.

Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is: Education Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, public policy or administration, public health or related discipline. Possession of a teaching credential, graduate degree, or equivalent professional experience is preferred. Experience Five years of increasingly responsible experience in an education, public policy, social or community services organization, including significant responsibility for funding, budget development, program utilization and/or evaluation or coordination of community resources.
