Job Summary
The Lincoln High School has one full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month vacancy. This position will plan for and conduct small group instruction (push in and/or pull out) to support students with foundational literacy skills and will coach all content area teachers in academic literacy and writing comprehension skills to use in their classrooms. They will also collaborate with PLC teams, and other colleagues to analyze FAST data as well as other measures to determine student groups/needs, plan instruction, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of research-based best practices around foundational literacy and effective interventions. The candidate must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, have strong organizational skills, be flexible and willing to adapt, and be a team player.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have: (1) A valid California single subject English OR multiple subjects teaching credential, (2) Candidates must have recent teaching experience and experience implementing research-based, data-driven, targeted interventions in ELA and experience with Multilingual Learners preferred. Experience with Powerschool, Illuminate, and Fastbridge Learning and associated resources, and coaching teachers is highly desirable. Credential must be registered with the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing by the closing date of the application deadline. Applicants must have a valid California driver's license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
