Under the direction of a certificated teacher and the Preschool Site Supervisor or the Director of Student Services, is responsible for providing to pre-kindergarten-aged children a developmentally-based program which is designed to prepare them for a successful transition to kindergarten. 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Must have a minimum of 6 units of ECE/CD coursework from an accredited school. 8 general education units from an accredited college are desired. NCLB REQUIREMENTS: In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), paraprofessionals are required to have a high school diploma or its equivalent and demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, math, and classroom instruction. Employees are required to meet the requirements either by holding an AA degree or higher, having 48 units from an institution of higher education, or by demonstrating, through local assessment, the knowledge of and the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics. Licenses/Certificates: Ability to obtain a State of California Child Development Permit.
