Job Summary
The Academy of Our Lady of Peace seeks a full-time (open to part time accommodations for the right candidate) who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of OLP students by upholding and communicating the school mission, philosophy, and core values while modeling behavior that inspires excellence and enthusiasm, helping students grow to become young women of heart, faith, and courage in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph. This full or part time long term substitute Theology Retreat Teacher will teach two sections of the Discipleship (Retreat Leaders) class while providing a pastoral presence for students. This position will begin August 14, 2023, with an expected end date of December 21, 2023. Specifically, we seek an individual who preferably has a skill set in planning and leading retreats, various forms and uses of technology including the use of Google for Education tools, Schoology, and emerging learning technologies. Applicants must show a willingness to support diverse student learners, teach diverse texts, and to work with fellow Theology teachers closely both in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and as a team.

At the time of submitting your application, OLP requires both a cover letter and resume, along with three references from supervisors who have seen your work directly, and verification of degree credentials. Bachelors or Masters in Theology &/or Religious Studies. Prefer 3+ years teaching Religious Studies at a high school level or equivalent retreat facilitation experience. The classroom teacher both models and communicates the school mission, philosophy, and core values while modeling behavior that inspires excellence, helping students grow to become young women of heart, faith, and courage in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Upon hiring, the candidate must submit a TB test, livescan fingerprinting and all official academic transcripts.
