Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Classified Personnel and/or Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, performs a variety of technical duties in support of human resources operations and activities; participates in the recruitment, screening and processing of new personnel; provides information and assistance to employees, job applicants and the general public regarding personnel functions, policies and procedures; prepares and maintains a variety of manual and automated personnel files, records and reports.

#2122-10 (PROMOTIONAL/OPEN) ***THIS RECRUITMENT HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS PROMOTIONAL/OPEN. TWO ELIGIBILITY LISTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED (PROMOTIONAL AND OPEN) WITH CANDIDATES ON THE PROMOTIONAL LIST CONSIDERED FIRST *** An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Human Resources Technician in order to fill current and future vacancies. The eligibility list will be valid for six months. This position is 8 hours per day, 260 paid days per year. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent GED and three years increasingly responsible clerical experience including one year of human resources experience.
