About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. The Antioch Unified School District is a Merit System District. As such, final selection of our classified staff members will be made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate’s training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of a principal, perform a variety of general accounting and financial record-keeping duties in support of Associated Student Body (ASB) and related accounts and functions; provide student health care services involving in administering basic first aid, dispensing medications, and screening ill or injured students.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years general accounting experience. Other Requirements: Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. SELECTION & EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of a competitive application and supplemental screening for completeness and qualifications. A written/performance exam (weighted 40%) and an oral panel interview (weighted 60%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exams. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
