Requirements / Qualifications

Hours and days per week vary depending on need for clerical substitutes districtwide. Candidate should be able to type 40 words per minute, and have the capacity to deal effectively in a school office environment with constant interruptions, as well as occasional contact with angry or dissatisfied individuals. Knowledge of Aeries, and an ability to enter data and maintain an ongoing database is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment, record keeping techniques, and appropriate telephone techniques and etiquette. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are essential.
