For this Resource Specialist Teacher role you will have to travel between both our schools; NEW Academy of Science & Arts and NEW Academy Canoga Park. Responsibilities: Implement, monitor, and evaluate Individual Education Plan (IEP) of each assigned student Prepare appropriate lesson plans and objectives based upon individual student's IEP goals and grade level expectations Organize intervention program and services for students in a multi-tier system of support Coordinate student's inclusion into general education classes and activities as an inclusion facilitator/specialist Performs educational assessments in accordance with CA state standards, district policy, school programs and IEP goals Implement and monitor behavior support plans as required by students for educational success Prepare required student forms and maintains accurate student academic records, attendance records, and cumulative student progress and achievement records and reports Track progress towards IEP goals and inform parents, teachers, and principal concerning progress toward goals Case Manager Roles: Write, implement, monitor, and evaluate IEP of each assigned student Conduct informal assessments to identify the needs and strengths of assigned students Prepare for and lead IEP meetings Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding students in the special education program Organize, prepare, and present documentation for site reviews and audits of the school's special education program. Development, and computer technology: Awareness of LAUSD Special Education procedures and policies Knowledge of Welligent and District Validation Review components preferred Requirements / Qualifications Bilingual Education Specialist Credential - mild/moderate disabilities Special Ed Credential Experience & Knowledge: Experience in IEP development.
