IMAGINE SCHOOLS Developing Character, Enriching Minds HUMAN RESOURCES & PAYROLL SPECIALIST Location: Imagine Schools Riverside Start Date: ASAP Reports To: Regional Human Resource Director Location: Coachella CA FLSA Classification: Exempt Preferred Qualifications: ? Three to five years of successful experience in various HR roles. ? Good knowledge of Microsoft applications. ? Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. ? Strong data analysis, project management, and organizational skills. ? Knowledge of teaching certification and background requirements. ? Knowledge of current local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to human resources and benefits. ? Knowledge of FLSA and job classifications. Essential Functions: ? Ensure compliance with Imagine Schools’ employment policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. ? Create Employment Agreements for multiple campuses. ? Administer new hire procedures and ensure onboarding for all new employees. ? Create and maintain personnel files and I-9 binders. ? Track and maintain fingerprint clearance cards and ensure renewal of fingerprint clearance cards for active employees. ? Process Leaves of Absence and disability paperwork, including FMLA paperwork as required, and communicate with employees regarding Leaves of Absence as needed. ? Report Workers Compensation claims to insurance company and state. ? Respond to unemployment claim inquiries and possibly attend unemployment hearings. ? Maintain records of teacher certifications and expiration dates, and notify employees of renewal as required. ? Attend any trainings provided or made available related to human resources and payroll. ? Complete all aspects of payroll including, but not limited to, monitoring salaries, payment and deduction adjustments, issuing checks, and reviewing payroll reports. ? Securely maintain payroll reports and payroll backup information.
