Job Summary
The Teacher's Aide aka Assistant Classroom Educator (ACE) works directly with a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students; assists teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; provides behavior support and life skills instruction for students during lunch and recess duty. Requirements / Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and/or 2. Two (2) years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A.A.) or higher; and/or two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting, and 3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom. Tutoring experience and/or working with students preferred. Bilingual a plus.
A virtual competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. Upload all attachments and name exactly as stated (i.e., Letter of Recommendation) or your application will not move forward in the selection process.
