Tehachapi Unified School District (TUSD) provides quality education programs for approximately 4,200 students in TK/Kindergarten through Grade 12, including Career Technical Education (CTE), preschool, and after-school services. We employ approximately 630 teachers, principals, and other staff across three elementary sites, one middle school, one high school, one alternative high school, and one K-8 blended learning school.

If at least three (3) applicants are permanent employees from the Tehachapi School District and demonstrate the ability to meet the job qualifications, the position will be filled on a promotional basis. THESE POSITIONS WILL EXPIRE ON 06/30/2024, BUT MAY BE EXTENDED DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF THE STUDENT(S) AND AVAILABILITY OF OTHER POSITIONS OF A SIMILAR CLASSIFICATION.

Tehachapi Unified School District has six (6) vacancies for 5.50 hours per day, 5 days per week, Instructional Paraprofessionals. Two Paras will be assigned to each elementary school site for Burst Tutoring. These tutors will provide push-in academic support that consists of short periods of targeted reading intervention.
Tentative Times: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Work times may vary and are subject to change based upon the needs of the District
