Located in Shoshone, California, which is 20 miles from the CA-NV state line and just to the southeast of Death Valley National Park, Shoshone Elementary School is in need of a qualified elementary teacher. The multigrade classroom (possibly 3-5) poses certain professional challenges in that multiple grade levels must be taught, but these challenges are countered by the advantages of having a very small number of students, often fewer than 12. With Shoshone Elementary's intimate tiny classroom setting and a positive classroom management style, the educational and job satisfaction possibilities for the right teacher are enormous. Most of the housing possibilities for teachers are in Pahrump, NV, which is a 30-minute drive from Shoshone Elementary School.

Shoshone Elementary School is located in Shoshone, CA, a town of approximately 30 people near the California-Nevada state line. Students come from as far as 70 miles away to attend school.
The unique setting of Shoshone Elementary School offers an interested and capable teacher the opportunity to work with a small number of students who crave and deserve the professionalism of a qualified teacher. The small number of students creates opportunities for the teacher to work very closely with students to meet their diverse needs.
We seek a teacher who will create and maintain a sound and thorough educational program across assigned grade levels.
