THE POSITION: The Coordinator II will provide technical, consultative, advisory, and planning services as they relate to special educational programs. The Coordinator II will develop and present trainings and workshops related to educational needs and issues. The Coordinator II will understand inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and the impact these practices have on the growth and development of students and staff. The Coordinator II will provide both in-person and remote support to teams of educators within Los Angeles County. This position requires travel throughout LA County.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Three years administrative experience. Comprehensive, directly related, and progressive experience may be from a campus, district or office of education. And Six years classroom teaching experience. Education: A Master’s degree or higher in education or closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (All applicants must attach credential with document number to their application. Please do not attach the certificate copy of your Credential. See below for step-by-step instructions.): • Must hold a valid California teaching credential - Educational Specialist Credential and/or a Special Education Credential. • Must hold a valid California Administrative Services Credential. • Autism Authorization preferred.
