Job Summary
Teacher for therapeutic class utilizing the Learning Center (TLC) Model: The Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) Program is designed to meet the educational behavioral and emotional needs of students whose learning is significantly impacted by their social-emotional needs. The behavioral and therapeutic services that are embedded within the general education classroom or in specialized academic environments and informed by team collaboration make TLC programming dynamic and unique. The teacher holds a mild/moderate certificate and partners with a full-time behavior specialist and therapist to support the needs of the students. Academic needs are addressed within the framework of the core curriculum. The focus of the program is social-emotional development and the internalization of age-appropriate behaviors. In addition, the program includes remediation and instruction in the following areas: directions, task completion, organization, problem-solving, and coping with change. This highly effective program is richly staffed with a strong multidisciplinary team that is well supported by the school district.

Annual bonus of $2,182 for up to two (2) advanced degrees (Masters/Doctorate). Additional annual bonus of $2,182 for National Board Certification.
