Requirements / Qualifications

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge of: Principles, methods and trends related to the District’s instructional and curricular development services, strategies pertaining to the improvement of the instructional program, and methods and procedures for implementing, evaluating, and modifying the District’s curricular program. Legal mandates, policies, and regulations appropriate to the administration of instructional and curricular programs. Communications and human relations strategies, procedures and techniques. Methods and strategies that support effective use of technology in the classroom. Ability to: - Plan, organize, direct and coordinate comprehensive instructional and curricular programs. - Plan and organize professional development workshops. - Analyze operational problems, develop alternative solutions and strategies to make appropriate and timely decisions. - Articulate and interpret laws, policies, regulations, and negotiated agreements concerning curriculum and instruction. - Prepare and present clear, concise and comprehensive reports. - Communicate effectively in oral and written form. - Understand and implement oral and written directives. - Establish and maintain cooperative organizational and community relationships. - Integrate technology into the instructional program. - Apply technology in presentations and in staff development sessions. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: - Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. - Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility - A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and a minimum of two years of successful administrative or quasi-administrative experience in district-level curriculum planning, development, and implementation. LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - A valid California Driver’s license and proof of insurance. - Personal vehicle to move to and from other work locations as assigned and as needed.
