Job Summary

The assistant principal assists the site principal in organizing and fostering a positive, safe environment that transforms education by restoring joy and meaning to learning. The assistant principal provides operational, administrative, and instructional leadership to ensure the school’s success. The assistant principal reports directly to the site principal. The assistant principal supervises licensed teachers and support staff as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: --Experience implementing high academic standards and rigorous curricula --A Master’s degree in education preferred --Three years of experience working in a Title I school preferred --Teacher leadership role preferred --Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATES --A valid California Administrative Credential preferred --California Teaching Credential preferred --Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certificate preferred
