The current vacancy will be focused on mathematics. Secondary math (Grades 6-12) teaching experience is required. SDCOE is recruiting for a Coordinator, Instruction and Curriculum Content. The content focus for this position is in the area of secondary mathematics. The job of Coordinator, Instruction and Curriculum Content is done for the purpose/s of coordinating the leadership, consultation, and technical assistance for designing and implementing effective instructional systems for supporting school districts throughout San Diego county in the area of mathematics. This position has an emphasis in math content to support the research, development, implementation, and assessment of professional learning, instructional guidance, tools and resources related to improving teaching and learning. Experience leading secondary math (middle school and high school) professional learning, being a connected member of the math education community, knowledge of math pathways, data science, and fourth year math courses (including dual enrollment), with demonstrated flexibility to support variability among LEAs with a range of perspectives, plans and needs is desired. This position is full-time and will offer the certificated management benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalSTRS state retirement system.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience conducting professional learning activities, collaborative projects implementation, and program evaluation and assessment; and
Education: Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or closely related field;

Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or related field; and four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience conducting l learning activities, collaborative projects implementation, and assessment.
Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
Valid CA Administrative Services Credential
Valid CA Teaching Credential
Valid CA Driver’s License
