SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direction of the assigned Administrator, perform a variety of professional activities involved in the observation, assessment and identification of psychological, behavioral and educational needs of referred or identified students, develop/implement effective interventions, instructional approaches/strategies/methodologies, develop behavioral, affective, and/or adaptive goals for students, provide psychological counseling, and guidance services to students and families, consult/collaborate with other school team members in the planning and evaluation of school programs and services to meet the special needs of students. This position is certificated management and exempt from the certificated bargaining unit. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree psychology or related field and one (1) year experience performing professional psychology duties in a school or clinical environment including work with children, adolescents and special education programs and services. CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS: Hold California Credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist. Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
