Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the School Principal or an assigned Administrator, serve as a liaison between administrators, personnel, students and parents at an assigned school site to support efforts to improve school attendance, academic performance, tardiness and general health and well-being of students; refer students and families to local agencies or school services as appropriate; translate communications between school personnel and limited or non-English speaking parents, family members and students; prepare and maintain related records and reports; perform general clerical duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year general clerical experience involving frequent public contact. • Incumbents must meet requirements specified under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Special Qualifications upon hire for positions at a school site that is supported by Title I funds include: o Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR o Obtained an associate’s or higher degree (college level) OR o Met (pass) a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics. • Read, write, translate and interpret English and a designated second language. Licenses and other Requirements • Valid California Class C driver’s license.
