Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in early childhood education or health and human services required. Minimum of two (2) years prior work experience with children ages 3 to 5 years of age and their families in a structured setting required; Previous Head Start, community, home visit, case management experience preferred; Ability to speak, read, and effectively communicate in Spanish preferred. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: Applicants are required to submit the following through Ed-Join prior to the position closing date/time: • Edjoin application • Letter of interest • Three current professional letters of reference dated within 12 months • Resume • Copy of valid CA Child Development Teacher Permit (or equivalent) • Copy of transcripts showing conferral of bachelor degree PERMITS/CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid California Children’s Center Permit or California Teacher Permit under Head Start Performance Standards required.
