Our Mission Nestled in a picturesque neighborhood residential community in Alameda, and minutes away from downtown Oakland, Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School (SJND), a Catholic parish high school, provides a dynamic and rigorous college preparatory education. We are currently seeking a full-time Science substitute teacher to teach four sections of Science during the 2023-24 school year. The position begins October 10th, 2023 and will last through December 20th, 2023 or later. The candidate will be responsible for working with other members of the Science Department to implement curriculum. Candidates must be willing to teach according to Roman Catholic Church doctrine and values.
Requirements / Qualifications
Eligibility Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree. High school teaching experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to teach all levels of life science including AP Biology. Compensation Salary range is $10,000 to $12,500 depending on experience. Salary is commensurate with experience, graduate education and credentials, according to the school's established salary schedule for teachers.
