Job Summary
This position will provide leadership for, design, deliver, and manage high-quality, research-based professional development and technical assistance related to the statewide coordination of community schools under the Lead Technical Assistance Center based at ACOE, with special attention to the Expanded and Enrichment Learning Opportunities Pillar of Community Schools. In addition, this person will co-lead partnerships for coordinated services intended to support these essential whole-child components: Safe and supportive environments that foster students’ sense of identity and belonging, positive relationships, and aspirations; effective instruction that builds on students’ assets and learning needs; SEL competencies and equity-driven constructs; and systems that support healthy habits and behaviors and fight health and other disparities (e.g., MTSS, healing-centered engagement, and Restorative Justice). The person will join a developing, in-person team at ACOE, with frequent travel (approximately 33% time) to various locations throughout California. Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: Valid California Teaching Credential (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field (Required) A minimum of five (5) years educational or related experience in a county and/or district office Three (3) years experience in managing educational programs, preferably in before- and after-school programs Familiarity with student services/support programs for underserved students and families, or priority populations Valid California driver's license and the ability to travel frequently, sometimes with overnight stay for meetings (Required) Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
