Under direction, teach and instruct pupils in Grades K-8, or a combination of these grade levels in academic, social, behavioral, and other educational skill areas; plan, develop, organize, and conduct a comprehensive educational program for upper and lower elementary level pupils; assist upper and lower elementary level pupils in making appropriate life style adjustments, and in the determination of career and vocational choices; and to do other related functions as required

Qualification for employment includes completion of on line training in the following areas: *New Employee Training *Preventing Workplace Violence *Bloodborne Pathogens *Sexual Harassment *Child Abuse/Mandated Reporter Upon offer of employment, candidates will receive information and directions regarding this training. Applicants must possess a valid California Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or Intern eligibility.
Current IUSD Teachers wishing to transfer need to submit a transfer request form directly to the IUSD Human Resources department by the posting deadline. For all others, materials listed below are required for hiring consideration:
- Copy of Transcript (Showing Bachelor's degree, official (seal-intact) transcripts will be required upon hiring)
- Credential Copy (Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.)
- English Learner Authorization (If embedded in credential, then upload a copy of the credential that shows this and label file “English Learner Authorization”)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Reference (Letters should be dated within one year)

* Upon hiring, salary placement will be determined by the number of upper division/graduate level units earned from a WASC accredited four-year college or university. Units must be earned subsequent to the date of the Bachelor's degree.
* A maximum of fifteen (15) years credit is allowed for teaching experience in a public school (K-12) or an accredited private school (K-12).
* There is a $500.00 Doctoral stipend.
