Job Summary

Job Summary

The Teacher Assistant works under the direction and supervision of the Site Supervisor/Teacher. The Assistant is responsible for supervising and interacting directly with children. The Assistant will assist the Site Supervisor/Teacher with facilitating all aspects of the planning, organization, and implementation of the daily program.

The Lake County Office of Education offers the following benefits to regular classified employees: • Health and Welfare - annual benefits cap in the amount of $15,500 for full-time employees or part-time employees, 6+ hours per day at a prorated rate. Includes medical, prescription, dental, and vision for the employee and all eligible dependents, based on the tier of coverage selected by the employee. Employee out-of-pocket contribution amount will vary based on the selection. An employee may purchase coverage through a 125-cafeteria plan. • Longevity Pay (Years: 5,10,15,20,25,30,35. prorated based on service days/hours) • Paid Sick Leave (96 hours per year/prorated based on service days/hours) • Vacation Pay (15 to 27 days/Yr. depending on years of district service) • Paid Holidays (See District Calendar) • Retirement plan contributions (4+ hours per day) • Employer Paid Life Insurance (4+ hours per day) • Air Ambulance Membership
