Requirements: ? Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) ? Willingness to embrace the Catholic values and traditions of St. Catherine of Siena School ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Classroom management skills which cultivates an environment conducive to learning Preferred Qualifications: ? Valid teaching California Teaching Credential (orequivalent) -English Single Subject preferred ? Ability to facilitate technology integration into the classroom setting ? Experience teaching in a Catholic school setting (ideally at the Middle School levels) ? MA Degree * If thecandidate doesnot yet possess a valid California teaching credential, (s)he must acquire one within five years of the date of hire. Duties and Responsibilities: ? Actively support the mission, philosophy and student learning expectations of the school ? Maintain and supervise a safe and disciplined environment within classrooms and school yard ? Prepare, deliver, and lessons/units based on CA and Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines ? Document student learning, reports, and attendance records to administration and parents. ? Communicate professionally with administration, colleagues, parents and students ?
