Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) plays a critical role in setting the strategic vision and direction for El Camino Real Charter High School's academic programs. Serving as a leader, spokesperson, and expert in curriculum, instruction, pedagogy, and learning, the CAO is responsible for developing the instructional vision for both the short and long term. Moreover, the CAO fosters a culture of high expectations and shared responsibility, promoting equitable access to culturally relevant and high-quality instruction throughout the school. Serving as the primary instructional leader, the CAO spearheads and effectively communicates ECR’s academic vision, and ensures its integration throughout the institution. It is the CAO's responsibility to support and align curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment practices, and professional development initiatives.

***We will be accepting applications until March 1, 2024**** - A Master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard from an accredited college or university. - A valid Administrative Services Credential authorizing K-12 service. - A valid California K-12 Teaching Credential requiring a bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching. El Camino Real Charter High School is in need of one (1) Chief Academic Officer.
