Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the School Principal or designee, and indirect supervision by the Director of Special Education, and Education Specialist provides support for the instructional program for students with special needs; assesses and evaluates students with learning disabilities and learning differences; works in conjunction with the general education classroom teacher; provides individual instruction in all content areas, as determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP); assists students in meeting goals outlined in the IEP; evaluates student achievement; communicates with staff members and parents; participates in the Student Study Team (SST) process; and performs related work as required.
