Job Summary: As a member of the Technology Department, the Technology Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to students, teachers, and staff in the high school’s technology environment. By working with the Department to ensure the smooth operation of all technology systems and devices within the school, the Technology Support Specialist plays an important role in the daily life and mission of the school. The Technology Support Specialist troubleshoots hardware and software issues, maintains computer systems and digital platforms, assists with network administration, and offers training and guidance to end-users. Job Responsibilities: Technical Support: - Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to students, teachers, and staff for hardware and software-related issues. - Diagnose and resolve problems with computer systems, printers, display systems, interactive whiteboards, audio-visual equipment, and other technology tools. - Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems on computers and devices. - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, antivirus scans, and disk cleanup. Help Desk Management: - Develop and manage the technology help desk system, including logging and tracking support requests, prioritizing issues, and ensuring timely resolution. - Respond to help desk tickets promptly and provide effective solutions or escalate them to the appropriate personnel if needed. - Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including issues encountered, solutions provided, and knowledge base articles for future reference. User Training and Education: - Work with the technology team to develop and share tutorials and training with students, parents, teachers, and staff on the use of technology tools, cybersecurity and software applications. - Work with the Technology team to develop faculty focused manuals, guides, and tutorials to fa
